I took the kids to the movies tonight, we met Grandma Vicki there and we all watched Inkheart....We all loved it!!! Lillian said....."I really liked that movie, except for the bad guy part." LOL, she is so cute.
I cut and pasted this for you guys...I got it from entertainmentkaboose.com, I wanted you to know what was in the movie. We really did like it!
"Plot Synopsis: A father, Mo, and his daughter, Meggie travel the European countryside in their beat up van from one antique book vendor to the next. In one such village bookshop, after Mo discovers a copy of the book Inkheart on its shelves, a mysterious man with an otter appears who tries to warn Meggie and Mo that he’s willing to reveal their location to the evil Capricorn.
Meggie’s Dad then tells her he has the ability to read characters out of books, but when he does, someone else must return to the book instead, often with dire consequences.
Sex/Nudity: When Mo and his wife Resa are reunited, they embrace. A flirtation seems to be developing between Meggie and Farid at the end of the film.
Violence/Gore: Capricorn threatens mayhem and destruction, from throwing characters into his dungeon to executing them. He also gets Meggie to release the Inkheart villain the Shadow from the book, that could destroy everyone. Dustfinger discovers from the author Fenoglio that he dies at the end of the book. All the book characters fight back against Capricorn and his henchmen. Dustfinger and Farid light Capricorn’s castle on fire.
Profanity: Some of the characters turn author’s names and literary allusions into naughty sounding exclamations like “Chaucer’s beard,” and they also use big vocabulary words such as “barbaric” and “solipsistic” in their elaborate insults."
